Manifesto: freeing others as I was freed

This is my lifelong vision and manifesto.

I intend to build a company in order to accumulate wealth and influence, and to put both toward a school, a hospital, and orphanages. Capital and authority are instruments; the purpose is to free others from avoidable hardship.

I was fortunate in my education. Most people never receive that advantage, and I treat returning it as an obligation: freeing others as I was freed.

School will teach economic agency: how capital moves, and how to direct it. Students will enroll from ages 10 to 22 without grades or an entrance exam. Ages 10-20 cover tax, accounting, law, distribution, commodities, and the fundamentals of operating a business. Ages 20-22 require students to start a venture, grow assets, and practice economic independence. Portfolio companies I back will recruit from this school, and children from the orphanages I support will study here as well. I plan five campuses in Korea, five in India, and five in the United States. I will train faculty, teach, and visit each campus in person to review progress.

Hospital and orphanages will serve my family and people who lacked the same luck. The hospital will be a real institution: facilities and staff for physical and mental care. The orphanages I fund as a parent and an investor, not as a publicity vehicle. Where possible, school, orphanage, and hospital share meals at the same table: neither privilege nor neglect as the default.

I will build until I can sustain these institutions, then fund them. If I lose sight of the reason, I return to this page.
